Growing up with a dad that owned an upholstery business helped me develop my creative side. I would spend hours looking at his fabric swatches. When fabric was discontinued it became a rug or drapes for my doll house. As I grow up my dad would let me work in his shop with him cutting fabric, foam and putting the finishing touches on the sofas and chairs he re-upholstered. He even let me go on consultations with him.
My parents also owned investment properties. My brother and I spent many of our weekends painting, cleaning, trimming shrubs and helping with the maintenance of these houses. This was also a great learning experience.
I've always had a love for design in some form or another, but my career path lead me down the corporate road first in banking and then I spent 10 years in the mortgage business. I have a firm understanding of the real estate industry and I believe this experience makes me a better business woman. I've seen first hand what can make or break a deal. I know what appraisers look for and the importance of using a Realtor.
My husband is a constant inspiration and a great partner. You see, he is the owner of Mark's Painting, Inc and is always there to help me when I need his painting expertise. We make a great team.
Over the years, I have purchased foreclosures, remodeled homes and seen the powers of Staging first hand when
